Now you can test your knowledge...
Question 1 of 3
Should you be updating and adding to your websites content on a regular basis?
Honestly, I dont have the time and from what I have read in my research on the internet about SEO, it is not really necessary to update my site as Google doesn't really care anyway.
Yes, updating my site is important as Google loves to see new and exciting content and loves to send visitors to my quality pages.
Google is generous enough to send people to my site even if my content is many years out of date.
Question 2 of 3
What is the ideal amount of words a post should have to give it maximum traction with Google?
Five hundred words are all that Google wants to see as it does not have the resources to read really long articles on the billions of websites that are out there.
The search engines will not read any content that is under one thousand words.
The longer the better as Google loves new content as long as it is relevant, well written, unique and isn't keyword stuffed, and most importantly is relevant to your target demographic.
Question 3 of 3
Should you use images in your posts?
No, you should never use them because its a waste of time as Google can't read them.
Yes you should as it adds a bit of interest for your readers when you have a relevant image.
Nobody knows. It has been a mystery to everyone since the internet began. Only Google knows if an image actually makes a post more interesting to read.
